Three days of the novena to St Anthony in preparation for the Annual feast inaugurated

June 10, 2019: Three days of the novena to St Anthony in preparation for the Annual feast was inaugurated with the ceremony of hoisting the flag at St Anne’s Capuchin friary, Jail Road, Bejai Mangalore at 5.45pm.

Fr George Olivera Capuchin, the professor of the Philosophical studies at Capuchin Philosophy house, Mysore inaugurated the three days novena by blessing and hoisting the flag of St Anthony. Fr Joel Lopez, Vice Novice Master from Farangipate Capuchin Novitiate house presided over the Eucharistic celebration. Speaking on the theme of the day Fr Joel invited all the faithful to draw inspirations from St Anthony’s life and not just admire and seek favours from him. ‘Holiness is achievable; it involves doing little things with great love and devotion’, he said. The angelic choir was led by Mr Joel Pereira.
